It’s A Festival: Second Annual St. Louis Interactive Festival

Though Annie might not use Twitter, there is a whole boatload of folks in St. Louis that do (we even have our own hashtag so said folks can follow conversations about our fair city).  We also have a slew of bloggers, vloggers and podcasters in the neighborhood. Wether you are among the seasoned ranks or just cutting your interactive media teeth you should consider spending Saturday, October 17 at the Second Annual St. Louis Interactive Festival.

This is the second year that the St. Louis Blogger’s Guild has put together the Interactive Festival and the second year that yours truly has worked with a great group of local bloggers to try to pull together one of the coolest social media events in town. This year we decided to condense the festival into one day, and since people were asking for more networking opportunities we squeezed all of the panel, food and drink goodness into one place. Here are the panels that are going to be rockin’ this year’s Interactive Festival:

  • 9am – Keynote and Coffee – Social Media: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (Breakfast is provided – yes!)
  • 10am – Beginner Track: Build-A-Blog Live Site Build
  • 10am – Advanced Track: The Important of Usability and Visual Design
  • 11am – Beginner Track: You Have A Website, Now What?
  • 11am – Advanced Track: Applying Your New Media Skillset to the Workforce
  • 12pm – Lunch and Networking break (Lunch is provided for attendees- woohoo!)
  • 1pm – Beginner Track: The Basics of Using Audio and Video on Your Site
  • 1pm – Advanced Track: Let’s Talk Tech: New Technology Roundtable Discussion
  • 2pm – Beginner Track: Photography for the Hobbyist
  • 2pm – Advanced Track: Social Media for Small Business and Non-Profits
  • 3pm – Closing – Intellectual Property, Ethics and Privacy Online

See, sounds like a lot of fun doesn’t it? We are working our booties off to get some drinks for the lounge so people can hang out in there and skip a panel or two to meet other bloggers, media and business types from around St. Louis.

For more information and to reserve your free ticket, check out the Second Annual St. Louis Interactive Festival’s website. On that there site you can reserve your spot, get directions to Shock City Music (where the festival is being held), and find out what speakers we have planned for the panels.

Come, be geek with us – see ya at STL Interactive 2.0!

Thanks for listing the sessions. I’m attending, and inviting a friend, and I know she would want to see the lineup of speakers.
