It seems that our seasons here in St. Louis skipped over the crisp yet sunny fall days and went right into monsoon season. After coming off the wettest October on record we seem to be following the same soggy trend into November. Needless to say, the gray days can cause your mood and your wardrobe to be dreary as well.

Fight back with this fashionable rain gear. Not only is it colorful, fun and fashionable, it is all reasonably priced from Target.com (who did not sponsor this post, darn it!).

First up, the trench coat.  This coat can top a dress just as easily as a pair of jeans.  The black-on-white pattern should match 99.9% of your existing wardrobe.

Next, how about a hat? I love this cloche – it’s very retro yet very modern. The rounded shape flatters most faces as well.

Not a hat person? I bet you can’t help but smile at this sunny, striped umbrella. The bubble shape protects you from the wind-driven rain, and the pattern reminds me of a beach towel.

Finally, don’t forget your feet. These boots remind me of the boots I had as a kid. I loved them and wished for rainy days so I could splash in the puddles without soaking my socks.
