While I've known this show was great since the first episode I watched, I realized at the start of this season why it really truly is great and a masterpiece to television; it is (or will be) a complete story. The producers set out in the beginning with the end in mind. It's not like the other shows we watch that keep going as long as the ratings are up and then, when the show is cancelled or decides to end their run, the "story" is tidied up for a series finale. I don't think the producers of Desperate Housewives or Grey's know how the story is supposed to end; but LOST has. Watching LOST has been like reading a really really good book. There was a start and we'll get our finish. AND, there won't be room sequels/spin-offs in the end. The story will be (relatively) complete. I think I may cry thinking about the end . . . . ! Any true LOST fan complete understands where you're coming from on this one. And for the easy-to-jump-on LOST haters bandwagon, I say that I really feel sorry for them, because they're missing out on a truly unique storytelling experience that is not bound to happen again any time soon.
